Day 3 Yellowstone to Grand Teton: not just one buffalo

Location: colter bay campground

After 30 minutes of being awake, a single buffalo walking through our campsite was spotted.

Later on we discovered a whole herd on the other side of the campsite. There were at least 40 buffalo trudging and eating grass.

After staring at the buffalo for awhile, we departed for canyon village in yellowstone. A 30 minute drive took twice as long as tourists love to stop in the middle of the road and take pictures of the multitudes of buffalo. The east side of yellowstone is a valley with a river cutting through it. It's very pretty, and different from the rest of the park. Finally we pulled up to an overlook of the impressive lower yellowstone falls.

We ate lunch at canyon village where there is a one time through buffet. Some people stack their plates very high. Upon clouds approaching, we headed down to grand teton national park. Pictures speak for themselves.

Dinner was at an outdoor restaurant where my dad used to work. A concert made up of tourists playing instruments was going on. The musicians played one at a time like a talent show. My sister asked to join and managed to play the final two pieces. She was thrilled.

That night there were no buffalo... But we saw a couple elk. Just like the night be fire, my sister and I built a fire. Tomorrow would be a long driving day towards Devils Tower, Wyoming
