Day 2 Missoula to Yellowstone: "the" geyser

Location: bridge bay campground
Distance travelled: 330 miles
Total hours driven: 6 hours
States crossed: 2 Montana, Wyoming
Time left Missoula: 1130 am
Time arrived yellowstone: 5 pm

Today we drove 3 hours until Bozeman, Montana where we ate at subway and costco. Another 2 hours later, and we were in yellowstone national park, the first national park in America.

Crossing the continental divide, the first out of 9 times
People lining up to take pictures by the sign

It took another hour to reach old faithful. Once at old faithful we didn't know when it would erupt, as old faithful goes off on average every hour and half.
The number of people watching Old Faithful. The line goes off into the distance..

Walking around the geyser, it finally exploded at around 530 pm.

The start

It went quite high. Higher than I remember last year. We rushed to the campsite and set up camp in the dark. The campsite was along the lake and very open. You could see all the other lights of the campsites. Another type of lights seen were the numerous number of stars. I spotted the dust of the milky way, which is near impossible in the city. At the campsite my sister and I met a chinese biker who only spoke mandarin and was confused on how to register and where his campsite was. Using broken mandarin my sister and i managed to help him. He was on a bike trip from Anchorage to New York! This day in yellowstone we didn't see much wildlife, but that would change.
